Help with Parking Fine Appeal

Hi I received a parking fine from Hounslow Council back in September 2010 after an exchange of letters between myself and the council the case is now going to Appeal.
Basically I parked in a bay with restricted parking times but was unaware of the restrictions as the sign stating the waiting restrictions had been turned through 180 degrees so was not visible from the Road.
I pointed this out to the Council and provided photographic evidence at the time, their argument is that the Signs were Correct and there was a post with a sign on it? (they didn't mention you couldn't see it ), they also presented their photograph showing the sign as visible because they stood on the pavement to take a picture of what was effectively the rear of the sign.
I'n fairly confident of winning the appeal but would appreciate any "case History " that anyone has with case number dates and details of an identical occurence Regards Bob

My post will be of no help at all because if I was going to park and i saw a pole with a sign on it, which i couldnt read from where i was I would go and read it just to be sure so that I would nt get a ticket.

Sorry, but I wouldnt be too confident.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Well I WOULD be confident but you need to add something to your appeal to the adjudicator.

Hounslow PCNs issued on your windscreen are known to have a flaw in the wording.

Get over to pepipoo, post a new topic showing them pics of the front and back of that PCN and all the letters you have received. Just blank out ID details and PCN number - leave in all small print and all dates.

Tell them the stage you are at and ask about the wording flaw on the front. It has won before at adjudication, last year, and Hounslow have still not put the PCN right.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
