    Thats a very good point.

    Dont worry about the perceived bills of broadband - they are not heavy.. probably the same as what they are paying now as others have said - just ask VM for a BB modem and all shall be good

    Definitely agree that the big companies don't design websites for dialup users.
    Just look at the nonsense you get if your homepage is the Windows default one, msn.
    Even google has got silly. Imagine tryining to login to hotmail.
    BBC is the same. All the basic websites you go to now are convoluted.

    and what happens when someone forgets you're on dialup and sends you a 2mb joke in an email.

    and the chances are they use it during the day, and that will hike up the phone bill quite considerably.

    and getting the antivirus to update, maybe half a meg of an update.
    windows update can be huge.

    and you do get a virus and it's a rogue dialler..
