Hey there,

I'm trying to remove the rear wiper motor on my 206 but am struggling to find the tool required to remove the items (9) in the below pic.

(Pic too big) - link to details on the website - http://www.peugeot206cc.co.uk/repair-206/206/info/gb/c5dg0cf3.htm

The website I got this pic from says to drill the rivets out using a 0.75mm drill bit. But I have no idea what it's on about.

The look like a hole with 3 slits coming out to the sides..

Any ideas? Thanks.. :)

It looks like the motor is riveted to the bodywork and not bolted on in the normal manner. It appears the only way to remove is to drill out the old rivets using a drill and 0.75mm drill piece.
    Refix using bolts if required

.75mm (that's 1/32 in old money) is the diameter of the drill bit required to remove the heads on the rivets holding the assembly in place.
Remember kids, it's the volts that jolt and the mills that kill.

Remember, you will need appropriate rivets and a rivet gun to attach the replacement.

I would take it to a garage if you are not sure.

No not really as the post above says a nut and bolt of the same diameter will do just as good job providing there is the space

    I was only following the advice given in the attached diagram;

" Proceed in the reverse order to removal "

Yes properly fitted nuts and bolts may well do the job as long as there is adequate space, as you suggest.

Hey guys, thanks for the advice.

I'm going to try the local garage, not the Peugeot main dealer though as they want £70 an hour labour or something silly.. hopefully I can get it swapped over for £10-15 locally.

I would have a go but I'm worried about smashing the rear window as it's really close and when I spoke to the Peugeot mechanic a few weeks back, he said it's fairly easy but watch the rear window.

Good thinking, let us know how you get on.

I remember your last thread about getting pulled for the wiper hanging off.

I have nothing helpful to add, but I saw this and thought of you, so I took a photograph

And before someone criticises me for taking a photo while driving. The phone is held in a fixed holder and the camera lens was already open. I just need to press a single button. Therefore no laws were broken. I was also stationary with the handbrake on, so perfectly safe

    Hahahahahaha ;) brilliant :D

Well, I ripped the wiper off ages ago, so it's just a rusty bolt now (probably more dangerous than the wiper!)

I will let you know how I get on, had the motor and new wiper for a while now and just want to get it fixed at long last.. although it's not causing any problems with no rear wiper, just cosmetic really.

My huge scrape on the front wing is all fixed now, £200 :(
