Future Bank use after reclaimin

Options
Hi everyone
I am considering claiming back the charges too, as in my student and temping days I was always going overdrawn so must have a reasonable amount to claim back - My question is fine the bank may close your account but then what happens in the future if that bank is offering a great credit card/mortgage or other financial product are you then "banned" from using them and there other banks? I bank with HSBC and I can think what they own but for example Halifax own lots of other banks - would you be banned from using them?
As much as the cash would come in handy now I am not sure it is really worth it in the long run.
What do you think?
