I find that they do help in certain shoes, but sometimes they can make the shoes too tight which causes a whole different pain! I think it's because they take up a mm of the space that your foot would be in!

I have a set of these gel 'Party Feet' insoles. Didn't make a blind bit of difference for me. I would love to be able to wear heels or boots but after just half an hour I'm in agony. I really don't know how some women practically live in high heels - I just assume they must have no sense or feeling!

I think a lot of it is just getting used to wearing them more often. I hardly ever used to wear heels (I'm a great believer in feeling comfortable) but I do have lots of high heeled shoes.

I recently started wearing my heels every day to work and although I do still get that burning pain in the balls of my feet it doesn't happen too often these days and it is bearable compared to previously.

Or maybe I just don't walk about as much anymore! :p
