Do those "Party Feet" insoles really work?

I've gotten out of the habit of wearing heels in the last couple of years and now whenever I do my feet really hurt. Its the ball of my foot that burns when spending any time standing or walking in heels. I've seen those gel insoles in the shops and advertised in magazines but do they actually work? I have some beautiful heels and its such a shame that I never wear them now.

Well, like you I don't wear heelsvery often and when I do I have these Party feet in my shoes. Yes these things do help to a point. I last longer on my feet when I wear these, but my feet still really hurt at the end of the evening ( a kind of burning pain on the balls of my feet), so they don't diminish the sore feet completely.
It's only a game

I try to only wear heels when I know I can sit down for a reasonable portion of the night:rotfl: I used to have a really high pair that were known as my "sitting down shoes"!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0

I've been using these today. They do help, but I have found they slip forwards and end up screwed up under my toes, so I would say useful but not great.0

As a dyed in the wool high heel wearer- I don't see a lot of difference tbh.
I find heels up to 4" generally comfortable but I have a couple of 5" pairs that do hurt the balls of my feet. The insoles didn't make that much difference and I've given one pair away now. I really should eBay the designer ones but they are so beautiful I can't bear to part with them even if they are pretty much unwearable for me:o0 -

I call these 'car to bar' shoes, only wear them when i know i wont be walking far!0 -
I think they work. I only own one pair of heels which look great but KILL by the time I've gotten to the end of the street, if I wear the party feet insoles I can get away with about an hours wear. So yes they work, but no they are not a miracle by any means, they just buy you time.
Wouldn't be without them though- and the sore-spots? these really are a life saver of a product, even if they do peel off every time I take off my shoes!0 -
I agree, they work but only for so long, feet hurt eventually! Never had them move or 'scrunch up' either.
If you have a 'bodycare' shop they currently have the Scholl one £2.99 buy one get one free.0 -
During the summer when I have been on my feet all day and am going out in the evening, I pop the gel ones in the fridge for an hour or so, before I wear them. Bliss!
It makes my feet feel rejuvenated when I'm stuffing them into my evening heels.0 -
Clarks sell a foam type variety that the lady on the till said she used for ballroon dancing. I got these and they were great!0

you can get compeed blister plasters which are specifically for the sole of your foot, so they should cushion you pretty well. I've got some but haven't tried them yet, but if they are anything like regular compeed patches they won't fall off/slide down easily! I always wear zinc oxide tape on the balls of my feet which helps, superdrug sell it for £1.50 a roll, great for putting on heels, little toes and any other places that shoes rub too0
