No doubt others will have different views, I would suggest you decide where you want to go ! Two weeks is effectively 12 park days maximum, if you get one of the flex tickets you have entrance every day, so buying disney passes would be double payment.
Is this to be your only visit to Florida ? If it is I would say get a flex ticket plus http://www.onlineflorida.co.uk/ProductDetail.aspx?PI=236, Busch gardens,Sea world, Aquatica,WetnWild,Universal studios & Islands of adventure. While you are there you might decide to visit Disney.
The first time we went we tried to do EVERYTHING , its just not possible. We ran like a well oiled military machine , I dont advise you do the same.
  • Much depends on what you are interested in and what you want to do. A Disney pass will take you to all thier main parks and you will get deals on line such as 7 days for 5 if you book in the UK. Your 15 year old will probably hate Magic Kingdom but enjoy Epcot and Animal Kingdom. In with the Disney pass are two of their water parks. they are not as good as Wet n Wild but there's only so much time and so many water parks you can do.

Sea world is good and Universal is fantastic. We did Universal in a day but were exhausted. Mgm is the Disney offering which is OK but nothing in my opinion is as good as Universal

In summary get a 7 day Disney pass and two day pass for Universal and if you can get one that includes Sea world as well
  • hi 20 kay,

i'm looking to going to florida in april and have found tickets for orlando and universal tickets online, the cheapest i've found is on travel republic. It does depend if you want to do all the parks. The tickets in universal, the flexticket plus includes busch gardens - depends if you want to do that or not. I've found that the disney are doing offers this year with the price of a 14 day ultimate is the same price as the 7 day one.

Doing all the parks are do-able, you just have to be good with time management - i've done all the parks as well as fitting in 2 days worth of shopping in a 2 week holiday.

  • There is an all in one ticket which allows you access to all the parks.

It saves you a couple of quid if you are planning on doing them all.

It really depends upon what you want to do.

We always buy the 14 day Ultimate ticket for Disney as my boys are young and still enjoy the Disney magic, as do I:o.

We only every buy a two day ticket for Universal (but I think this gives you 14 days access now).

I always usually buy seaworld tickets when I'm out there and normally you get 2 days for the price of 1.

I don't bother with Aquatic or Wet n Wild as the Disney water parks are included in the Ult ticket.

You'll love Florida.....I have searched all day for the best prices and I'm going to book tomorrow - 3 weeks going over this Christmas:j

  • when we first went my kids were more into the disney parks but when they got older ( mid- teens ) they preferred universal , busch gardens and islands of adventure so we buy a universal flexi ticket plus and pick one disney park to go to. It's hard to do it all in one go it's took us a few visits to do that , one things for sure you'll love it
  • Thankyou all for your advice all well needed because i did not know how hard it would be for the theme parks i don't want to waste alot of money on parks tickets i might not use so thankyou x
  • hi blooby 8 so if i buy a flexi ticket and if we wanted to when we get there buy a pass for disney do you think that would cover us i don't want to waste money on tickets we don't need.

We went in July and found that anything over 4 or five park days straight was just too much. A 7 or 14 day pass just isn't value for money IMO as you'll never use it to it's potential.

We didn't bother with Disney and just did Aquatica, Sea World & Harry Potter World but kept returning to Aquatica as it was the best way to combat the heat and humidity.
