BMW 323 SE AUTO Front brake pads & Disc

Are they planning to use BMW parts?
If yes, then it is a good price, otherwise I would say it is the going rate.
You can always price the parts yourself on the internet, then add 10-20% uplift, plus 1-2 hours labour at £40-£50 per hour and that's your quote.0 -
Thanks
They are not genuine BMW parts.
I think they are ATE parts(I think - not sure).
What is the best site to look at online for pricing?0 -
Either German Swedish and French (my personal favourite) or Eurocarparts. Both are on line, and are excellent on prices while maintaining good quality.
It may sound a bit mad, but have you asked your local BMW Garage for a quote? They have the BMW '4 Plus' scheme now, where cars over four years old get reductions on servicing items like this. It's designed to keep the cars in the dealer network and to keep the quality up of the older cars that are out there.
Good luck, and let us all know how you fare.0 -
I'll try the BMW garage & see what they quote me. Good idea & lets hope that they are competitive as I would prefer to have the brakes changed at BMW garage if the differential is minimal.0

I've had disks and pads replaced on my 325 both at BMW and ATS. BMW cost was around £255 compared to £180 at ATS. The ATS disks and pads are not genuine BMW parts. Prices may vary a bit around the country - I'm in the NW.

Thanks all
I have just done a MSE - I had a quote from a local garage in Harrow for £120 to replace the disc/pads/sensors which I thought was a bargain - BUT wait for this -I have a new garage opened locally in Harrow which was doing a promo of pricematch + 10% discount on top if you found a cheaper quote.
So I challenged them armed with my £120 quote - they could not believe the £120 (which was very cheap) & I challened the manager to honour what they have advertised or I shall report to local trading standards.
They agreed to offer the disc/pads/sensors for £108 all in using Ferado pads.
I am having them fitted next week. I know its not the orignal BMW stuff who quoted me £260 but I think they are good enough for me.0 -
Just had them fitted today & very pleased with the work done & the price paid only £107.99 all in. Brake Disc/pads/sensors.0
