Gas Fire Question

Hello All,
I have an on the wall gas fire - with fake stones and glass fronted. It only has one button, up for on, down for off.
Normally, there is a flame constantly lit, which enables the fire to light up when the button is clicked.
That flame has now gone out and i can't get the fire to light!
I've looked at a way of lighting it, but can't seem to find a way in through the glass front, or even underneath where the wires are.
Am i missing something obvious?
Thanks,
Alipops x
