Bought a truckle of cheese from their stand at the Nantwich Food Festival back in September. We realised at the start of the November there was only a week left before the "Best Before" date.
We opened it and found it was already moudly inside
On Sunday (12th Nov) I finally got round to writing a letter, which I posted on Monday 13th.
Waiting for me at home last night was a letter from them and a box. Very impressive as it means they replied the same day they got my letter.
The letter appologised for the cheese and explained how in something like 1 in 100,000 truckles, the wax coating sometimes finishes with a pin hole left, which is enough to allow the mould to grow.
In the box were six truckles, one of each of their range of cheese. A quick look on their website last night shows they replaced our cheese, worth about £2, with £18.
Excellent service and customer care. Now then, where's the packet of digestives gone...
