Refurb sansa fuze - genuine?

Hi, I,m thinking of buying one of these and this seller is cheapest but is that because they are not genuine? He has sold nearly 200 already (how many refurbs are there in Britian) but his feedback is good. So how do I tell?

I would not be surprised that there could be a lot of refurbs in the UK. If you look at user feedback for the Clip and Fuze models, they seem to have quite a reputation for locking up and failing to respond to any key presses - particularly with older firmware.

It's very easy to update to the latest if not done as part of the refurb - you can download it directly from Sandisk's website.

As for checking for fakes - only easy way would be to go into one of the main electronics retailers, ask to look at one and compare. A bit cheeky, but why not?

i think a lot of people are returning them because the volume is too low. this is due to the muppets in brussels allowing so many decibels they think europeans can stand.
just go into the set up and switch it to american or world and voila plenty of volume.
