Some pages won't load

I am having trouble at the moment, on ebay.co.uk
the sell it page does not open. The same page on ebay.com opens no problem.

I have tried three browsers, firefox, ie and chrome.

I have tried deleting history etc, no good.

Just occasionally it will load with poor functionality, and lock up the moment I try to change any parameter.

Some other sites fail to load too, though not many, e.g. primelocation.com .

I have an oldish Sony laptop, broadband via a 3 dongle, XP

I used to use AVG free, but then saw a bargain offer on AVG PAID FOR on ebay, and went for that, with no regrets.

Any ideas please?

Sounds like you may have some sort of script blocker running.
Maybe worth (on a known good site only - such as the Ebay seller page) turning off the AVG components one a time to see if it works.
