Hi everyone

In 2009 i started my second year of uni but quit after a month. I never told uni i was leaving the course i just didnt show up - was going through some hard times. I just thought they would assume i quit. silly i know.

Anyway a few months later i recieved an email from university about outstanding tuition fees. Obviously i had to pay and as i hadnt "officialy" quit i called up Student loan company to find out what was going on as i had sent all the paperwork the summer before term started. They said they were sending the money that day but i didnt take a name of the operator or note down the day of correspondance so i cant even chase this up to prove it.

Now the university have taken this matter to court which looks like i will be ending up with a ccj!

Any suggestions? I know this is my own fault so i take full responsibilty, im not trying to push the blame elsewhere.

ps dont have a clue if this is in the right forum

Contact the university and ask to make a payment arrangement. That is your only hope now.
    Gone ... or have I?
  • Thank you for your reply. Is it not too late to contact the university as i already have been issued a ccj? (although i have heard nothing back from this)

Have they applied to the court for a judgment, or has judgment been given?

Contact the university finance office ASAP and see if you can head it off. It won't do you any harm to ask.
