What the hell's going on @ New Look?

HAHA id love to wish it was from the kids range but it was from the Tall section, so cant try that 1!
I did think it was a wrongly tagged issue, like why i stopped shopping @ DP, but up against the rest on the rail it looked the same as the other 16's.
My guess is their clothing has gone down in quality and the sizing is all over the place, much like Primark!
I love the kid range comment- I once bought a pair of trousers from Punky Fish in the sale, and because it was so busy I just assumed they'd fit (this was back when I naively thought you could return sale items to the majority of shops!) They were the only pair, and a size 10 rather than the size 12 I usually go for, but I decided I needed them, and there wasn't that much difference between two sizes surely.
Anyway, I got them home, tried them on and I couldn't get them past my calves :rotfl:I showed them to a friend who held them up and said, "these aren't a size 10- more like an AGE 10"
Personally I think I have too much interest in shops catering for tweens and model types! 0 -
Dorothy Perkins do some fantastic jeans lately with elastane in them for comfort. Picked up a pair for a fiver in their last sale and have lived in them since. The added elastane means they fit perfectly and are soooo comfy!0

I tend to find New Look sizes come out bigger not smaller (in their trousers/jeans). Their 12s are often too big for me. I think you picked up a dodgy pair."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

New Look sizes are dodgy, to say the least! Last time I went in there, I picked up a pair of supposedly size 26 jeans that would only just come up over my bum. I knew that they weren't really a size 26 but more a size 20!! I pointed this out to the assistant so no one else had their day ruined - lol.
But, I currently have size 24 and size 26 New Look jeans in my wardrobe and I think the size 24 fit the best but one of the pairs of size 26 jeans (from the old Hula range) would fit a size 28 or size 30!
So, yes, their sizings are very warped. I would recommend trying on more than one item of clothing in that size and the difference could be huge.0 -

I used to love their hula range jeans that were £10 in fact I have still got a couple of pairs but they are looking really old and tatty now I have had them a few years. Now a few weeks ago I went to try the hula range again in my usual size and they didn't fit, the fit was rather odd actually, and the material didn't seem as nice. The old ones were absolutely perfect fit and better quality.
I'm glad I'm not the only one I have a couple of old pairs of Hula jeans that I love and fit me well, got a new pair without trying them on and they are soooo tight. Really annoying as they are such nice jeans and bargain
