Do blue badge holders get free AA membership?
I've just been informed by my father-in-law who is a blue badge holder, due to heart condition and being very immobile, that he has renewed his AA membership again for about the 12th year running. Now correct me if I'm wrong but did I read on here something about blue badge holders being able to get free AA membership?
Thanks in anticipation.

It's possibly included/paid for with a mobility car.0

Nothing to do with the blue badge, but if he has a mobility car paid for from DLA HRM then cover is provided0

His car was purchased by himself around 4 years ago, he has been a badge holder for many years but doesn't receive mobility benefits. I guess after reading your reply that I didn't have the full story and that he won't be eligible?0 -
He may get a discount though so worth phoning the AA to find out what there policy is with the disabled0

The AA is owned by a private equity firm,I think,so I cannot imagine them giving anything for free. With a motability leased car all overheads except fuel are included

I would suggest buying AA/RAC membership online via a site like www.topcashback.co.uk.
Bought mine last year for £27 and got a £21 cashback - so nearly free!0 -
No they would not get free membership
I know the RAC used to offer a tailored service to disabled motorists
but the only way he would get it free would be on motability.
tip if payingfor rac membership
it's now being sold by tesco as "tesco breakdown cover" its cheaper than going direct to rac obviouslly the clubcard deal is still verry atractive as well0 -
I thought Tesco had a tie in with Green Flag - have they changed this recently?0

Last time I renewed with the AA there was a space to input details of any disability.
No discount, but the idea was to help the AA tailor its response in the event of a breakdown.0
