You either have to buy it, or use a free alternative

You were probably using a trial version which has now expired. If so to continue to use it you need to register it and pay for a licence. Did it not warn you that it was going to expire?
Any Office program, Office Button, 'Program Name' Options, Resources, Activate Microsoft Office, it should guide you the rest of the way. Or ring Microsoft and tell them you want to purchase a licence.
Or maybe try downloading something like Open Office, it's free and compatible with most of Microsoft Office. There are other free office suits around as well.
Edit. closed just beat me to it while I was typing.0 -
As a temporary work around if you're in a hurry, you could attempt to reset you PC's clock back a month or so. Probably won't work with MS stuff but it's worth a try.Never let it get you down... unless it really is as bad as it seems.0

Use open office. It said on the box requires Windows 7 or better, so I bought a MAC0

You may be able to use M$ Office in the cloud...

OpenOffice will open most MS Office file types, even Office 2007 and 2010. Just download and install it, then use it to edit the files. After installation the files should open when you double-click on them: http://download.openoffice.org/0

Try closing all office app's then
going to then go to the folder
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\OFFICE\DATA\
or
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\OFFICE\DATA\
and moving the opa12.dat file to your desktop,
then start MS word
if it doesn't work or breaks it just put the file back!Press any other key to continue.0
