    A) BUT there was nothing Libelious in my posts.

    b) All I'm saying is MSE deleted the thread without checking facts first.
Yes they hold that right but it would've been nice for them to have checked. Rather than just take the con mans word? TBH I don't think they even read the thread before the hit delete!!

    .
    a) with out reading the post it could be hard to comment. However there are quite a few post on here that could be considered libelious and people saying company X is the worst company ever when some thing is relatively trivaul.

    B) what time peroid would you suggest? when Martin was on the radio the other day he was mentioning he has to act with in short time peroid eg hours. So he has done everything in his power to stop the general public from reading it.
In those few hours he has to act quickly or he could get sued. So probably easier just to hit delete.
I still like the site and think they should keep the section.

I can honestly say ALL i asked was help in finding out if the company was real or not?
ANd if they was/wasn't how could i proceed from this point?
I did mention about lack of response to emails, always answer machine on mobile number and just ringing out on landline. But i mentioned this as the first thing most people say is to contact the company I had and got nowhere.
But I certainly wasn't nasty or libellous.

Maybe I feel so indignant simply because I know I was right and the person I was trying to find info WAS and still is a CON MAN!!!!!!
Maybe if I'd been proven wrong I'd accept why the thread was deleted???

Becuase the person who wrote to money saving expert probably wrote a letter saying that you were mistaken etc and this and this happend.
The mod has no way of telling who is telling the truth. So the choice they have is A) annoy the people who wrote the thread & may be some one else get conned but site stays open B) Get sued and possibly closed down.

One of those option is safer.
In the grand scheme of things there is a lot of threads warning about the company so while it may not be great for you, overall its probably better to play safe.
Though not my site, so not my decision to make.

In the majority of cases, MSE will allow such threads to remain, unless the accusations are unfounded or libellous. However its simple for a company rep (particularly if a scammer) to have a thread removed, by simply posting abuse, to the point MSE will either lock or delete the thread.

My advice on reporting scams, is to post exactly how you were ripped off, (postal delays or a scandalous price cannot legally be classed as a scam), if someone appears splashing foul or abusive posts, culminating in a thread deletion, simply post the complaint again.

If MSE themselves feel your posts are libellous or potentially risky, repeatedly reposting the complaint after a deletion would warrant MSE to issue a warning to the member, explaining why they insist you dont re-post the complaint specifically.

Failing this, if you genuinely feel that a business is scamming people, assume MSE has deleted a thread due to abuse, threats or the usual trollling that goes on, and simply post it again.

If its a fair point, a genuine scam or ripping off consumers, MSE will happily allow the thread to remain, (they have at times deliberately locked threads in order to allow them to remain before they get spoilt by other posts).
