san francisco android phone pattern lock

My son has locked his San Francisco android phone by forgetting his pattern sequence. It is asking him to log into his google account to unlock. He claims he does not have a google account. Does anyone know how to fix this?:eek:

You have to have a Google account to use Android phones.
Just put in the same username and password used when you first set up the phone

I've reset one of these by reinstalling andriod from the disc in the box or by downloading from the makers web site

you lose all the installed apps but will be no password

I wasn't aware of this. I've set up a google account on my pc but can't access it on my phone. All I get is "verifying phone number"

Try setting up another account through the phone itself.

It's a good bargain phone so stick with it.
