I'll have a good look at the T&C's supplied with my Kia and report back once I have it - won't affect me though because it'll be going back into the dealer network at 3 years old without a doubt.

    Good bit of marketing there.

    Noticed that :rotfl::T

Saying that, with the horrendous list prices on the Astra J I think I'd rather have a Cee'd

    COMPREHENSIVE WARRANtY
Every new Citroën car offers the benefi t of a 3 year* warranty package, plus a 12 year anti-perforation** warranty and
    a 3 year paint warranty.
    * 2 years’ manufacturer’s warranty. No-fee customer option of 1 year’s Dealer provided warranty, only on cars sourced
from Citroën UK Limited. Note: Dealer provided warranty is limited to 60,000 miles for cars and 100,000 miles for
light commercial vehicles and Combi vehicles.
** Against all internal to external perforation to bodywork or underbody on condition the car undergoes an inspection
by a Citroën franchised Dealer every two years from its fourth anniversary.

I believe Ford and Fiat also do this though

Daihatsu also offer a 5 year warranty, tho' they seem to have stopped selling cars in the UK just recently.

    A bit of spin again.
UK sourced dealer supplied cars come with a three year warranty.
(Same as the Fiat's they actually list as three)
  • ...UK sourced dealer supplied cars come with a three year warranty...

Ford also have two years factory, plus one year UK franchise dealer.

When imports were a bigger thing than they are now, it meant you only got two years if you bought the car from a non-franchise supermarket such as Motorpoint.

Not sure what the current position is with them, some of their cars come from Ireland, so I reckon those would only have a two-year warranty.

So what happens if the franchised dealer ceases trading in the 3rd year?

Warranty applies to any UK dealer with a Ford franchise.
