Car ins renewal - inform them of health/medical conditions?

Just had my renewal through and the list of "changes" to inform them about e.g. occupation, convictions, modifications to the car etc, also includes "health or medical conditions". First time I've noticed this. Anyone know what criteria used for "medical" and is this general for all car insurance companies?

This is probably straightforward i.e to ask whether you have been advised by a doctor not to drive or have a notifiable condition that needs to be advised to DVLA for licence suspension.

Some Insurers may ask this, BUT all policies will include a wording somewhere which will exclude claims/liability where you have been told not to drive or licence is taken away due to a medical issue. If you had a crash where you were advised not to drive, I suspect the Insurers would exclude damage to your car and claim back any third party liability payout from you.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.
