Hi, I have been offered a one ounce palladium bar, pamp Suisse for £550 delivered. Seems a good deal to me.... What you guys think?

Provided that you can confirm that it's genuine (I've no idea if there are fake palladium bars about), then it does seem a good deal. (if anything, maybe too good).
£550 is less than dealers are asking at the moment, and that's before VAT is added.

Is it coming from outside of the EU? If so, you may well have to add on 20% VAT.

Nah from an eBay seller, he has it for £585 buy it now but offered it for £550 if paid by bank transfer or check, has good feedback also

Does any one own any palladium? Opinions is it a good buy? Looked at the chart over past 10 years and it doesn't seem as smooth as silver and gold looks for risky...

Pal is related to car catalyst sales so its industrial and its less used for investment I think

Unless you have a use for it yourself Im not sure its the best you could do. I'd rather own the miners that give it to people who can use it not stockpile it

If you send money via a bank transfer, the seller has no contract with you. Ask them to at least do a 1 pound sale on ebay or do it in person

Don't forget that if you pay by transfer or cheque you will have a very hard job getting your money back if it's not genuine or if it doesn't arrive.

There are 2 forms of buyer protection available when buying from ebay sellers (ebay and paypal protection), but one requirement for both of them is that you must pay via paypal.

You say that the seller has good feedback, but how much of it is for selling expensive, high risk items?
