If you have done a complete format and OS reinstall there are quite likely a few things that will need 3rd party drivers, either because they are not included in the Windows install, or for enhanced performance/features. Usual things are chipset, video, sound and network adapters.
These are usually downloaded from the manufacturers website, or on a CD that came with the PC. Download is normally best, as you get the latest versions.
What is the make/model of PC, and what OS have you installed.0 -
Make is a MICROSTAR
Model is PC MT5 I think it says on box
can you recommend a good download for me?
Im using Windows XP Home too if that makes any difference. xTime to find me again0 -

Have you tried their live update option
http://eu.msi.com/index.php?func=downloadindex
Or windows update0 -
I've downloaded stuff off that option before but no idea to check if its working or not
If I go into device manager
Multimedia Audio Controller
PCI Simple Communications controller
both have yellow exclamation marks next to them. So Im stumped now. Ive tried updating devices but because I was given the computer I don't have the hardware disk to use.Time to find me again0
