have just got my merchants pack and the forms are making my head hurt! one in particular, the my merchant view.net form I just don't get. Is it optional? as it says that it costs £15 per month and I don't even know what it's for, there are no details or guidance notes in the pack and the check list doesn't even mention it. does anyone know what it is please????

I am not sure, have you tried calling Adelente, I called them last week and they are really helpful. I initially got a pack from them and the set up just took too long. What line of business are you in?
edit. I asked because I was wondering if you join the National Market Traders Federation then you get reduced rate Merchant Accounts. PM me if you want to chat more about it as I did spend a while going through all my options.0 -
Just to add onto this. I have a Barclays Merchant Account, my monthly minimum fee has been waivered because I am a member of the NMTF, you have to tell them though and they waive it. You can sign up here... http://www.nmtf.co.uk/join.htm it's always handy to have if you are working from home, maybe working fetes, car boot sales etc.. You get cheap Insurances as well and free PL Insurance up to £5 million plus they'll insure your stock at home. It costs about £70 a year but worth it as the minimum fee usually charged on the merchant accounts is £20, I have 2 now, one for internet and one for face to face and that would usually cost me £40 a month. I got cheap Van Insurance and a £25 off voucher for next years Federation Membership as well so it always worth considering before you sign up via Adelante, you can get a merchant account and add their bits on afterwards. Plus Adelente quote 4-6 weeks for set up, with Barclays it took just 5 days I believe. Handy if you are needing it for those Xmas sales!! Hope this helps.0

thanks for the replies, we are already nmtf members, it is through them that we have the adelante pack with lloyds tsb merchant services. we do need adelante for doing shows and markets, the chip and pin merchant deal is too much at the moment, adelante is relatively inexpensive.0
