DVD Recorder - Which One?

I had some good advice here last year when looking for a DVD Recorder with HDD to attach my VHS to, so I could convert my VHS to DVD.
I ended up purchasing a Sony HXD790 which is still going strong. Possibly the best purchase I have ever made, ao thumbs up to anyone who is still here who helped me choose
Now, I need some more advice as I need another cheaper model for another room. I can't really go to the £150 I paid for the HXD790, although if I could get another one of them for that price, I MAY stretch, but unlikely to get one at that price again.
Basically, I currently have a DVD player attached to my Sky box and TV (Not HD) and wish to simply replace my DVD player with a DVD Recorder as I have been still using VHS tapes and they are not only getting rarer, but expensive.
A simple recorder with HDD, preferably without freeview to interfere with my Sky, and with a simple enough editing facility (like the A-B erase on my Sony) so I can edit and then transfer my recordings onto DVD with ease.
Does anybody know of, or own, a simple to use DVD Recorder with HDD to recommend sothat even a plum like me can work out?
Thanks for any advice.

Sky Plus box which is free at the moment. As well as the HD box as well, HD TV's are getting cheaper by the day and you could get a bargain somewhere like Richer Sounds.Estate Agent, Web Designer & All Round Geek!0

Thanks Steve.
Not sure Sky+ or HD is ideal at the moment (long story) so would prefer a stand alone recorder, especially as would like to record onto a physical DVD.
I think we'll reach HD before Sky+ and I have been looking for HD TV's, i've just not taken the plunge yet.0
