Need help with my citroen picasso 02 plate
Put it into Citroen dealer to have 85,000 service done as I've sold the car to my father-in-laws partner for £1500.
Car is in great condition but as I have a life limiting disease I decided to us my DLA to get a brand new car.
I asked them to do service and replace bulbs on dashboard as I knew one of the bulbs didn't work and was advised that it would be better to replace all 10 bulbs, so that's what i told them to do.
They were also supposed to do an MOT but they didn't do it. Said as my old one didn't run out till July they didn't think I still wanted it done.
Anyway - when I picked up the car everything seemed fine - i noticed that the left side (speed, miles etc) of the dash display was so much brighter but that the right side (date, time etc) was still a little dull looking but thought nothing of it as I didn't expect these areas to be worked on.
Later on in the evening, it became clear that there was a problem as the right-hand side of the dash was still "green" even with the engine off.
Went back to the dealer this morning (work was done yesterday) they had me sitting waiting over 2hrs - came back and said the problem was the circuit board and that this was faulty hence the dash staying lite when the engine was off and that this part would cost over £700!
I explained that there was NO problem with the dash before they touched it - Citroen Service Manager stated that fault could have been present before they changed bulbs, hence the dull look of the display, and that the replacement of the bulbs showed up the fault.
They suggested removing the new bulbs. Fine, I said, take out the bulbs that have been replaced, hence reversing the problem (or so i thought). I got back into my car to find out that the right-hand of my dash was now completely dark! Walk back into the dealer and asked for an explanation on the condition my car was returned.
The Service Manager then admitted that they may have "knocked" the circuit board when they replaced the bulbs and that he was at a lost to explain what had gone wrong!
So what do I do now?
I've agreed to take the car back on monday morning for them to try and figure out whats gone wrong.
Anyone else have a similar problem with a Picasso?
