It depends what you want to buy. I had some dud soups that went in the bin, but then again i hate tinned soup anyway, but i think about whether i will use it. Tinned beans have been good. The bags of flour/scone mix/bread mix etc i got were ok. The stock cubes i got were fine. The jars of pasta sauce were nice.
If you will use it, then it is worth it, but if you are buying only because it is cheap then it won't work.
Iris and Lilac pixie both made their most recent orders at the same time as me, and neither of them were complaining about anything.
I did see one MSE friend had posted a photo on facebook where something had leaked and made a real mess, but that could happen with any online food delivery.
I don't use them a lot as we have a very similar shop just 2 miles away from me which also sells frozen food, so it makes sense to buy the majority of the stuff they sell there as they obviously buy at the same place. I then don't get charged for delivery.
My biggest problem with app. food is that i get too tempted by the junk food. Not a bargain if we wouldn't normally buy it or eat in that quantity.0 -
Hello everyone :waves:
Today I:
* earned 15p on onepoll
* found a lifechanging penny :rotfl:
* recommended tcb to a friend, could be £2.50 referral
* paid the £1800 early redemption charge on my mortgage :eek:
* called current mortgage providers straight away and confirmed that will get a refund from some of the mortgage transfer(the amount however is yet to be confirmed - they say £1200, I say £600!)
* convinced OH that any refund is NOT free money towards our new car, but money borrowed off our mortgage - it will therefore be our first OP!
* NSD
* worked hard at worky work
* lunch from home
* dinner using up left over rice and sausages from freezer, defrosted at room temperature = sausage fried rice, was delicious!
* made sandwiches for tomorrow

Sorry I don't post every day - I just don't have anything interesting / worthwhile to report! The best that I can do is an NSD some days. I don't know where you busy people find time to make soups breads knit do comps & surveys etc etc! But there again sometimes when you're single its not worthwhile or required to do loads of from scratch batch cooking on a regular basis...........that's my excuse for sitting on the sofa anyway
* Turned heating off and put fleece on (despite warm day I needed it)
* Invited myself to my mums for dinner
* Charged phone at work
* Took mums shopping withe the intention of spending £0 as I needed nothing.....sadly failed but now freezer is full of whoopsie Diced Pork for stir-frys, Lamb Steaks that I might make a moroccan stew with and lots and lots of mince for chillis and spag bol. Wish I'd bought more now actually - never seen so much on the whoopsie shelves
* Looked at switching fuel suppliers for my mum, download nectar search tool, set up a Quidco account for her and explained what cookies are.....of course it's MSE....looking after my inheritence! :rotfl:0 -

Echo exactley what Michelle says. I only ordered for the first time the other week. Next time I would take more time in ordering, I'd cut more junk out. Don't bother with freebies - they are free for a reason. Out of date milk isn't good even if it appears to be at first !! But that's my fault not AF's.
Some items missing from my order at packing stage but they credited my account back plus 10% so good customer service too. I'll probably wait for another 10% off code before ordering again though , purely because I'm tight, so a shout out from someone would be appreciated.
I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
Lol at Iris waiting for a code. You are right. Might as well earn the postage cost.
Off to a great start today:- rounded up the mortgage payment to £200 - £16.22 overpayment
- got to £40 on OP and claimed that.
- playing bingo - still not winning.

* Brought lunch from home
* Defrosted a couple of scones from the freezer for lunchbox treats - really glad they have survived ok - they have been in there since the beginning of Dec! (I know they have survived as I've just eaten mine;))
Today to do:
* Check surveys (got screeened out again yesterday! boo!)
* Register for free 1 litre of tropicana juice - need to do at home because need a colour printer for the voucher
* Sort out Patients Aid Claim form for Dentist charges of £45.50. Won't be putting this towards OP's but it keeps the cash flow going.
