IB vs ESA

My partner has been on IB since October 2007 and has only had one assessment. I believe he will be moving over to ESA at some point because of the things that I read on this forum.
I read a post there that stated that he will need to go for medicals every three months. If this is the case, why has he not been seen in over 2 years?

ESA is a much tougher benefit to get (as you probably know). It's down to the ATOS medical person to recommend how long it should be before the next assessment, just like now.
You can actually be examined that often on IB currently.0 -
I believe it to be down to the DWP staff to decided when you get reassessed. You need to reach a threshold on both the benefits 15 points if its "physical" 6 points if it's on mental health grounds and 10 points if it's a combination of the two.

No it's 15 points regardless0

15 points physical
10 points physical and mental health
6 points mental health
Trust me.
I'm thinking Incapacity, it's changed to 15 for ESA.0 -

No this is not correct - it is 10 points for mental health problems for IB.
You are also incorrect with regards to physical and mental health.
If you are scored points from the physical test and at least 6 points from the mental health the scores can be combined. If this applies to you then your score from the mental health test will be rounded up to 9 points. If you are scored 15 points or more from this combination then you will be treated as incapable of work.0 -
