Liquid eyeliner on older women

I like liquid eyeliner as it stays put more than pencil but it is said that liquid can look harsh on older women. I am 49 but get told I dont look my age. Do any older ladies here use liquid?

    I'm 43, I use liquid.

I use brown liner & mascara, as its softer.

I'm 48 I use liquid eyeliner, just a very thin line. I've got stacks of pencils but always end up with panda eyes after an hour of using them.

  • Hi thanks for your replies. Do you use liquid underneath your eyes too? Just out of interest what other make up do you use? I read about what older women should avoid like heavy foundation and powder but surely we can break the rules?
  • I use liquid but only on the top lids, I think it's too strong for underneath whatever age you are.

Top & bottom, but not the inner 1/3 of the eye on either.

I only use it under, I've never mastered the art of the top line.

I am in my 30's so hopefully not classed as old but don't use the same liquid liner on the top as the bottom. If I want to use liquid on the bottom I have a purply reddy brown that sounds hideous but really makes my eyes stand out without looking like obvious eyeliner.
