As long as your local garage is VAT Registered and they carry out the service in accordance with Ford guidelines using Ford parts, then there should not be a problem.0

Is the theory.;)
However, if there are any warranty issues do you really want to be arguing the toss with the main dealer about the exact work done and parts used by your chosen garage.
My personal opinion is that independent servicing is better left until after the warranty period.
Why do people spend 5 figure sums on new cars and then take a chance for £75?0 -
Might have something to do with the fact that a lot of main dealers make-up the majority of their shopfloor staff with tyre/exhuast fitters.
Lookers Colchester for instance, has 18 staff in their service area, but only 5 are proper mechanics, the rest have basic training only.Never Knowingly Understood.

My local garage is marginally cheaper than main dealer however their service changes parts that don't need doing (air and fuel filter) and doesn't change parts that need doing annually (pollen filter).0
