Windows Live Emails

Got lots of emails in my Deleted Items.
I only want to delete about half of them ( oldest ) but want to keep the rest.
Any idea how you would partially empty this folder ???

I use Windows live.
Click on the email in the deleted file to open it. Then click on file on the top toolbar and you will have the options to move to an alternative folder or copy to another folder.

don't use the deleted items folder for storage

move what you want to keep out of the deleted folder to an 'archive/old' folder, then just empty the deleted items.
click the first email you want to keep then use the 'shift' key to select the last email that should select them then move them to the archive/old folder, should work.

then in future if you want to delete an email delete it
if you want to keep the email move it to the archive/old folder

Thanks for that but.....
I want to remove about 1500 emails thats going to be a bit tedious !!

Sort by date received. Click on the first one on the earliest date you want to remove. Scroll down to the bottom, HOLD THE SHIFT KEY then click on the bottom one. All the ones in between the first and the last should be selected and then you can delete them.

As far as I can see you CANNOT highlight a batch of messages in Widows Live...........
Unless of course its me !!!

I have Windows Live Mail and 'shift click' works for me as per Hammyman's post?
