savings account for my daughter

Hi,i have a svings account for my eight year old with the halifax,she has had it since birth,the rate is awfull,i wnat to open up a better one,but who do i go with,she has nearly 4 thousand pounds,thank you:)

    Take a look at www.moneyfacts.co.uk.

    Consider Cheltenham and Gloucester for an easy access branch account - 2%.

    Perhaps stick with Halifax and see what you can gain from their Guaranteed Reserve account (3.5% fixed for 2 years) and their Kids Monthly Saver account (6%).

    You don't state what rate you are currently getting. But 1.05% for a kids account is actually "ok" in today's world. Many banks and building societies pay less.
