I understand the concern, but I don't see how you can prove beyond reasonable doubt that the item despatched was the same as that pictured and described.
If you bought a camera or phone from a high street retailer and it turned out to be faulty, they wouldn't get away with claiming it was working when you bought it or that you had swapped it for another, identical item.
