Ive written a letter about some peanuts i bought but im not sure who i would put after 'Dear' in the letter

Whatever you do, don't be nasty and state a willingness to be a future customer (even if you don't mean it).
Oh, hang on, just read your thread properly! i don't even use "Dear", just use "Sirs" (and please, no comments on political correctness / sex discrimination etc - it is perfectly acceptable to address a letter such. suppose there will be tons of posts now on this, and nothing to do with the problem posed)
