Hi All

I submitted my gas and electric readings to british gas this week and have had both bills come through, I know nothing really about different services and am on the standard tarriff for both, would i benefit from one of their duel fuel things and if i move to another tarriff does that mean im tied to it for 12 month?

My usage last quarter were:

Gas 693 Metric Units, bill total £271.10 (inc 5% VAT)
Electric 697 units, bill total 90.56 (inc 5% VAT)

I was looking at the online saver 3, but as i said i know nothing really about it.

Cheers

Standard tariff is invariably the single most expensive option, so you should get on a comp site and switch ASAP, as you're just throwing money away on standard. Some tariffs have lock in periods, some don't.
Online discount tariffs are usually the cheapest option. Dual fuel is not always cheaper, but the comp site will tell you (use your annual kWh consumption figs, not your monthly DD payments).

    It's £3 a month plus £99 per repair...
No, these insurance plans are a complete waste of money, as discussed at length in numerous threads.
