Ebay has this information on their website :
http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/confidence/isgw-account-theft-spoof.html
http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/confidence/spoof-email.html
or you can forward the sus emails to :
spoof@ebay.co.uk
Hope this helps :-):staradmin:staradmin:staradmin:staradmin:staradmin0 -

This just sounds like a spoof to me and nothing to do with eBays security. It's a trick probably to get your account details.
If you log into your account and can't see anything then it's a spoof and completely seperate from ebay neither a breach in their security.0 -
I keep getting dodgy emails about items I've nto bid on too. They're just trying to trick you into accessing your account via their email.I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -
thanks for the response, i wish ebay was as quick? however, i cannot no longer access my account0

I have received a credit on my barclaycard which came via Paypal. I did not order any items and have never received any items so the credit is fraudulent. I spoke to Paypal who after investigating, said they are happy with the seller's response and closed the case. I have a feeling this credit is linked to the emails I have been getting via ebay about bids i know nothing about. I have emailed ebay to investigate and asked Barclaycard to cancel the card and also investigate the fraud. Is there anything else i can do?0
