any news on the rumoured top rate savings account?

Martin's newsletter this week suggested launch of a new savings account rumoured to beat all others in the market. It was supposed to launch today?

Anyone seen/heard about it? I havnt seen any press releases today.

At 2.95% AER (including a 1.41% 12 month bonus) can be argued to be the best rate.

But only one penalty free withdrawal allowed.

Not seen it on here yet but N&P have a new instant access internet saver @ 3% (for new money) any no of withdrawals-trumps the Nationwide account

Looking at their website the N&P e saver issue 4 is 2.8%, their one year bond is 3%

maybe one of the MSE team could comment as they presumably had some idea of what it was going to be

... but the interest rate has only today been increased to 2.95%.

(Originally 2.99%, then 2.78%, and now an increase to 2.95%).

Thanks - didn't know they'd been messing with the IRs - assumed it had been 2.99% since start.
