FWIW I had to chase my coop card by calling them - which they did something and it was sent, was told it was an 'oversight' by previous person not ticking the right box ?
Problem is it happened for both a/cs so reckon its their practice or they've got a system/user issue

They will accept you subject to completing required checks. At least that's my understanding of it. :)

For some reason most of your original post is blanked out so I'm not sure what the exact problem is, but after reading replies I can guess it has something to do with you not receiving your card despite being accepted by the coop, well I had the same problem, even received the confirmation letter and account details, but when I enquired about the card the person I spoke to over the phone said there must be something wrong as cards are normally sent automatically, she then checked and said that a box had been or not been ticked meaning I wasn't sent a card, she tried to correct that but the system wouldn't let her do it so she had to refer the problem to someone else to override the rules.

So I would call them, it could be just an admin error / fault in their system.

Thanks both..Ive initiated having my tax credits and child benefit paid into a PO account, until after Im declared bankrupt..

Good to hear that! Is this all gonna be in place in time before the next payment you're due / the next loan instalment?

If not, unless they're both due on the same day, can you withdraw the money as soon as it comes in?

If they're due on the same day, can you call the bank and cancel the loan payment?

Are you sure you can't cancel the direct debit (even though the loan is with your bank) via internet banking. Did you speak to them and they refused to do it or did you try doing it online? I'm sure I once cancelled my bank loan direct debit in the past even tho it was with that very bank.
