Dear Mary Portas...

Thankyou so much for your delightful advice to consumers on the level of service one ought to expect to receive and your handy little tips on how to do so. However, I have one small request, please could you next time express a little clearer your advice to 'calmly' and 'politely' request to speak to the manager. I would be extremely appreciative if you could emphasise the works in bold as I feel this is the key aspect that may have been missed by a minority of viewers. If you could also point out that yelling at an assistant who is actually serving on a till already to go and fetch someone else to open up another till and to then continue yelling once said assistant pointed out that all tills were open and in use was not quite the point of your message I would be extremely pleased. I would like to point out that I love the majority of my customers, particularly the gentleman who requested that the lady 'shut up whingeing and leave the poor girl alone' and pointed out 'there's only two people in front of you'.

Yours Sincerely,
A recently yelled at retail assistant :D

    Dear Mary Portas,

Stop thinking you know more about people's shops than the people who have worked there for years.

    Yours sincerely,

Someone who cares about where they work.

Oh, and the other one is Dominic Littlewood. Mind you, I guess neither of them can really enjoy shopping for themselves - I was talking to someone at PCW Southampton the other day, who was telling me that Littlewood popped in to look around whilst he was waiting for a train. I think every member of staff in the store came up to ask if everything was OK, were they looking after him, etc?
    Squirrel!
If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
