3.5k profit on Snooker Frame betting at the Masters in mid-January. A market I specialise in. It's on now as well - The Welsh Open, and I could do the same thing. That's the painful thing! :-(

    Boring now.

You are not prepared to help yourself.

Why have you deleted most of your posts?
  • I couldnt resist checking this again.

Yes its misfortune, but no where near as bad as other people on this forum and for the most part those other people, me included, go to work to pay off our debts. We arent crying over gambling losses whilst claiming benefits!! You deserve no sympathy whatsoever.

You dont work, you had a lot of money in winnings, you spent it in a lavish style, you lost the rest, you have no money and instead of thinking well it was a good run, I will go and do what most of the WORLD does and work, clear my debt, get a bit more cash and then start again with the betting YOU decide to feel sorry for yourself and claim benefits.

We all have moments in life of "what ifs". Mine is "what if" I didnt buy that expensive car, or "what if" I didnt do this, then perhaps I wouldnt have a massive loan I am trying to pay off, but we just get on with life and deal with. We dont come crying on a forum only going on about what you would do if you had the money. YOU DONT HAVE THE MONEY! Get a job!

How much did you make last year?

Have you declared it to HMRC?

Gambling wins are free from tax. Which is one reason why spread betting is attractive to serious investors.

But OP keeps insisting that he is trading and not gambling.

Why are you wishing this idiot luck?

I reserve the right to wish anyone down on their luck better luck. I don't go to laugh at tramps, I don't like to taunt bankrupts, I genuinely wish the OP well.

OP has had a fortunate and enjoyable year but handled his money badly. Lots of people handle their money badly, or we wouldn't have a loans board and PDL companies, would we?

And despite it all, OP probably does have more knowledge than most of ponies, their form, etc. In likelihood, he's mismanaged his cash, he's overestimated his abilities (or he'd have kept a bigger pot) and screwed himself. It happens a lot in betting systems - if a gambler has a good run, they believe that is the norm they can get back to, and then chases it forever. That's where the compulsive behaviour exhibits itself, much like any other compulsive behaviour trying to recapture the initial rush of (euphoria/winning/high/fun/orgasm/whatever). I hope this isn't the case with the OP, but suspect there may be a degree of that.

If there is, maybe that's something he's ready to deal with, maybe it isn't. I can't change that and I can't give him money, so of course I wish him luck - much as I'd wish you luck if you were having an operation, or you were starting a new job.

I don't want him to have a worse time for some bad choices - I'd rather he learned from them and moved on and made healthier choices next time.

Not true Chris. I would not make the same mistakes this time. I'd make sure of it.

I would like to believe you but how many times have you said exactly that in the past?

Even the high risk/huge apr lenders are getting extra muscle involved to reclaim the money you have borrowed.

You can't seriously say before you took these payday loans out that you were happy to risk their money on silly bets!

I'm quite sure prior to taking out these daft loans you were adamant you would not make the same mistakes again....... but here you are.
