    Trade Union membership.
    Premium bank accounts (the kind with a monthly fee).
    Professional body / trade association.
    Stand alone legal expenses policy - normally quite expensive.

    £50k isnt that high... many insurers are now increasing it to £100k

    Cant really comment on cover when you say "various other areas".

    For motor LE it covers everyone in your vehicle so would even cover a passenger suing you as well as as the normal (in terms of paying for their solicitor win or lose, your policy itself would cover your passengers losses and sols fees if they won)

    For home it covers a vast range of things such as employment, contract, 24/7 legal advice line and your whole family

    Think I will for go the motor LE as well then - for the sake of £20 a year it seems worth it - especially with my driving ...
