I know exactly what you're saying PaP and to be perfectly honest I wouldn't mind earning £5 an hour right now since I receive no JSA or other benefits. The fact is that I have been associated with the food industry for the last 25 years, and the conditions are not ideal - usually damp, because of the constant washing - cold and having to change overalls every time you leave the production floor - all totally necessary, for obvious hygiene reasons, but not really suited to an overweight bloke in his mid fifties. If it had been a 40 hour week, I would have seriously considered it.
In fact I'm disappointed that I was turned down for Tesco without an interview - they don't pay much, but the conditions are better.
And yes, I have been used to a higher level of earning, but not for the last 3 - 4 years, when my business was struggling - so I also hate people who judge others on how much they earn.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Isn't the knowledge that comes from experience more valuable than the knowledge that doesn't?0
