Hello again everyone... who can believe it's the last week of February!

So last week was fun trying to change the meal plan (I had to change to a Low GI/GL & Restricted Carbs to help with PCOS, Insulin Resistance and Leiden Factor 5)!

So here is my meal plan, all carefully planned and chosen to be overall Green GI/GL and under 100g Carbs a day!

    Saturday 19th
B - [STRIKE]Oat Porridge with Wheatbran made up with Water[/STRIKE] Absolutly Horrid! I had Oatcakes and Hummus with Cheese Instead
L - Onion and Mushroom Scrambled Eggs w/ Feta and 1 Slice of Granary Toast
D - 1/3rd size HM Wholewheat pizza with Chicken, Onion, and Cheese (Cheddar and Morzorella)
    S - Sunflower Seeds

    Sunday 20th
B - 2 Sausages, 2 Poached Eggs, 1/2 tin tomatoes, 1 Slice of Granary Bread
L - Soup and 1 Slice of HM Wholewheat Bread
D - @ MIL so Beef, (I will take with me 3 Wholewheat Yorkshire Puddings and Broccoli)
S - Sunflower Seeds, 2 Oatcakes with Hummus and Cheese

    Monday 21st - Friday 25th
B - 1 Slice Pumpkin Rye Bread with Soft Cheese
L - Soup and 1 slice HM Wholewheat Bread
    S - Monkey Nuts

    Dinners:

Monday 21st - [STRIKE]Quorn, Cauliflower Cheese (made with Wholewheat Flour) and 3 Wholewheat Yorkshire Puddings[/STRIKE] Gammon, Mushrooms, Eggs and Broccoli

Tuesday 22nd - Haddock with Beansprouts, Cabbage and Onion w/ half Wholewheat pita bread (OMG Yummy!)

Wednesday 23rd - 1/2 Portion Wholewheat Pasta, Bolognaise Sauce w/ Salad

Thursday 24th - Vegetarian Sausages in a spicy tomato sauce, with Salad in 1/2 Wholewheat pita bread

Friday 25th - 1/2 Portion Wholewheat Rice, with leftover Nutty Chicken Curry (with loads of veg in it) and Broccoli

    For my boys:

Sat - Chicken Pizza and Wedges
    Sun - Roast Dinner
Mon - [STRIKE]Quorn Roast Dinner[/STRIKE] Gammon and Eggs
    Tue - Fish and Chips
    Wed - Spaghetti Bolognaise
Thu - Vegetarian Spicy Sausage Pasta
    Fri - Pot Luck

    This weekend I need to:

    [STRIKE]
make a base for my curry(s) and freeze
    [/STRIKE][STRIKE]
Make weezls bread for the boys lunches
    [/STRIKE][STRIKE]
make some scones for the boys
    [/STRIKE]

Hmmm didn't do very well this weekend... will have to do it all during the week now!!
We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy!

  • Bit of an odd one for us this week, due to a hectic end to the week and an even busier weekend.

Thursday: beans and egg on toast
Friday: homemade tacos with homemade salsa
    Sat: party
    Sun: takeaway
    Mon: homemade turkey burgers
    Tue: Chicken in tarragon sauce

and that's as far as I've got this week lol!

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
I was unusually good last week and stuck to my meal plan completely, except for one evening when I accidentally defrosted the wrong tub and ended up with spicy lamb stew pasta bake rather than chilli pasta bake. :o (It actually wasn't too bad, though I'm not sure I'll do it again deliberately. ;))

My intention for the next few weeks is to run down my freezer contents as the door doesn't currently shut unless I lean on it. :o My plan therefore involves buying very little this week - as long as I stick to it, anyway!

Friday - mushroom, pancetta and ricotta pizza (need to buy tomato puree, mozzarella and mushrooms)
Saturday - sausage, bean and tomato casserole

Sunday - ravioli pasta bake (from the freezer)
Monday - Indonesian beef stew, mash and veg
    Tuesday - spicy beef burritos

Wednesday - spicy veg and peanut stew with flat bread (need to buy flat bread)
Thursday - chicken and lentil curry (from the freezer) with naan (need to buy naan)

    That's a nice short shopping list! :D
Back after a very long break!

Sunday -- Salmon & new potatoes
Monday -- Takeaway as son has his college interview at 6pm.
Tuesday -- Pasta with a HM tomato sauce.
    Wednesday -- Spicy chicken wraps.
Thursday -- Beef Stroganoff & rice
    Friday -- Sausage & 3 bean casserole
Saturday -- Chicken or lamb curry.

    Breakfasts will be toast.
Lunches will be sandwiches, soups & leftovers.
Snacks will be homemade cakes & scones.

I was fairly ok this week. I swapped a few meals around but have stuck to the overall plan.
Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.

Quite an easy one for me this week as i'm away next weekend :)

Monday – macaroni cheese with gammon

Tuesday – [STRIKE]sweet and sour pork with rice/noodles[/STRIKE] quesadilla with caramelised red onion, tomato, sweetcorn and cheese

Wednesday – [STRIKE]corned beef crispbake with potato wedges and sweetcorn (easy as will need to pack!)[/STRIKE] bagel pizza with sweetcorn, tomato and cheese

Thursday – [STRIKE]going to my dad’s straight from work, we’re going to have a takeaway[/STRIKE] vegetable stir fry

Friday – [STRIKE]away[/STRIKE] butter chicken with cous cous and chickpeas

Saturday – [STRIKE]away[/STRIKE] chickpea, spinach and tomato curry with cous cous/rice, naan bread and maybe some mini onion bhajis

Sunday – [STRIKE]i’ll probably just do a pasta bake as not sure what time i’ll be home[/STRIKE] going to my dad's for a roast

No new recipes, but i've made up for it in the last couple of weeks!

Oh dear, it's all gone to pot! My week has totally changed and my trip away isn't happening now so i'll try and stick to the amended plan. The weekend might change as not sure what i'll be doing now.

  • Here goes with my mealplan for the coming week:

Monday - Tomato and Bacon Pasta Bake with garlic bread and possibly salad.
Tuesday - Toad in the Hole (using sausagemeat instead of sausages as I have it to use up from Christmas)
Wednesday - Uncertain, I need to check
Thursday - Cottage Pie with Extra Veggies
Friday - Spicy Prawn Stir-Fry with Noodles
Saturday - Lasagne. I'll make a huge one so I can freeze 4 portions.
Sunday - Roast Chicken, Roast Potatoes and all the trimmings (haven't done this for ages and really fancy a roast!)

There's the usual cakes and fruit for snacking, and cereal for breakfast, sarnies for lunch. Hope everyone has a good week.

Supper for us can be toast for him, pear for me - cuppa for both ;)

I know you are having flat bread on a Wednesday night, so maybe not practical, but I have a recipe for flat bread which tastes wonderful if you want it.... Jx
