Gourmet society or Hi-Life card

Hi guys,
Just ordered Gourmet society card from Tesco deals. There is few restaurants which we occasionaly visit so thought it will save us few quit and maybe we will be able to go our more often.
As I ordered it, I saw "you might like this - Hi-life card".
Now this one has many matching restaurants, some extra restaurants I like and also Pizza express. We go there often on our Pizza Express from Tesco vouchers.
So now I am wondering whether I made the right choice?
Can't decide whether to cancel the other one or have them both? (I only ordered voucher for one from Tesco so far)
Can anyone tell me whether they had bad experience with either? Gourmet claims that the card is usable any day, any time.
Does Hi-life have the same? Or do they have exceptions?
Anyone has brilliant experience with them?

Very few hi-life restaurants accept fri/sat.0

Gourmet has restrictions as well, but there are many restaurants in the scheme that you can use on Friday,- less so Saturday night, but there are still enough to make me go with GS.
I have also ordered my card from with my Tesco vouchers this time. My current one expires at the end of Feb, and i have used it lots.
On one ocasion in London last year, we used it three nights in a row.
First night was at an Italian restaurant close to our hotel. This was a 241.
Next evening Saturday, we got 25% off total bill at an Indian restaurant in Brick lane, and Sunday night 50% off food bill at Cafe rouge.:D
I'm also waiting for my free taste card to arrive at the moment. :)Hope it gets here in time for out weekend away in London next weekend,- but if not,- i know there will be loads of places to choose from with our gourmet card.0 -
Thanks guys.
Also can you use the cards in one restaurant several times?
Apparently Hi-Life you can use in each restaurant just once? It is not mentioned on their site.. at least not clearly.0 -
Not all hi-life restaurants bother to restrict you to just one visit (though they all can, and many do mark off their number on the back of the card so that you can only use it there the once).0

How about Gourmet? Is there a lot of restaurants that do restrict you to one visit please?
So far it looks like thumbs up for Gourmet..0 -

It really varies. There are some which only allow one visit, but many more allow multiple visits,- and some are completely unrestricted..
And remember even when there is a restriction of one visit,- you can use it in the different branches of that particular chain.
I have used my current card in four of the cafe rouge's in london and Bristol.

Why not look at the restaurants both have in your locality and base your decision on which has the better selection for you.
(Whichever card you choose will be paying for itself pretty quickly, so it's not a big gamble!)0 -

I did, as per my first post.
However if I can go to each restaurant once then neither of them is good for me.
But on the website it does not tell you any restrictions for any restaurants unless you are logged in with members log in. That is why I am asking these questions on here.0 -
With hi life, although the "official" deal is generally "first visit only", many restaurants are savvy enough to realise they are better off not enforcing this, so in fact allow unlimited visits.
Problem is you only find out after using the card and discovering they don't mark off their number - and of course you can't guarantee that next time you go a different staff member takes a different view!
But because there are so many restaurants (round here anyway) you can use it, it isn't too much of a problem to go elsewhere, and it does quickly pay for itself, so you could buy an extra one to go back to those you like who operate the "first visit only" policy.0
