    perfect little notebook.

Had mine for about 5 months now when it was on sale for 180 and it was a bargain then.

full webpage viewing, built in wifi, windows xp which is stable with the 1gb of ram and 1.6ghz processor speed it has. anything more and i think it would drain the netbook.

only thing i would say is the speakers are appaling. at full volume you can hardly hear anything, but then it is a netbook and has line out/mic in to outsource to a home amp if needed

    Perfect little netbook

That looks fine for basic web surfing. Thanks for posting about the sale. This one has a better webcam, and comes with win 7.Thanks again. :T

£229.99 for a slightly bigger hard drive and windows 7, hmm

i would never use any netbook/laptop which only had 1gb of ram and use it with windows 7.
the msi one is stable with xp

Sorry, I am now looking at the MSI Swarovski Crystal one, which is £30 dearer. The only thing is the lack of ram, which I'd want to upgrade anyway if possible.

I thought I'd edited my original post, but did a dupe instead which I've deleted. :D
  • I bought myself one of these for christmas and it's fab! If all you do with your PC is surf the net (as I do) then I couldnt recommend it highly enough :)
  • Thanks OP, Reserved one for my daughter who has a habit of breaking laptops, she has had 2 £400 ones in 13 months!!!! This is cheap enough for her to connect with her pals, play games, and surf the net, and not the end of the world if she kills it!!! Got the 7 hour XP pink one to collect in Inverness.

    Hi,
Sorry if this sounds stupid but do netbooks have usb ports? I would like one but I need something with a usb in order to use an ipod (I think). Can you tell I'm not very good with technology?
    Thanks

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
My Acer has three. They have to have them as it's a way to add external cd drives, dvd writers etc.

Thanks Agutka, I thought they must have them but just need to check.
  • I have this, got it the October before last so it's well over a year old. Still perfect, never had any issues with it. Works well with an external dvd drive :)
