Incorrectly Displayed Ticket

Hi all,

Have been given a parking fine from the council for my ticket being upside down (flipped over, eligible).

The traffic warden took a pic of the reference number on the ticket. I posted an appeal to the council with the corresponding ticket, which proves that I had paid for parking.

I have got a letter back saying that the fine stands as its my responsibility etc.

I see having read the forums a little now that ignoring may have been the best action, but unfortunately I put my faith in common sense.

Is there a further appeals process or should I just ignore.

Any help greatly apprecaited:T

Do not ignore a council PCN they are enforceable. However if you still have the PCN post it up on Pepipoo both side and let them look at it. If there is any way of appealing they will let you know!

Dunno what on earth you think you read! We never tell people to ignore COUNCIL parking tickets unless you like bailiffs on your doorstep!

We tell people to continue to appeal them all the way in most cases and be sure to meet all appeal deadlines.

You did keep the original P&D ticket and just sent them a photocopy I presume? You kept the original as your own proof for the adjudicator?

You can get off this, adjudicators should find in favour of the motorist in a fluttering ticket case like yours.

Read carefully, Pearly11's post on pepipoo here and if you want to ask about your own case over there then start a new topic, attaching pics to see all the paperwork you have. Read their sticky threads first for site rules and to see how they want posters to attach pictures. And do not reply on Pearly's thread (strictly one case one thread):

    http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=58608

Make sure you click on the links on that thread to see the Chief Parking Adjudicator's report which covers fluttering tickets in depth. The adjudication can go in your favour - most do!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD
  • Please don't ignore, although does make you mad.
  • Thanks All,

I only quickly read around the forums so must have got the wrong idea about ignoring.

I didnt keep the original, but I did take a picture of it back and front. I will appeal and see where it gets me.

I just really expected them to say "Oh, we can see that you have paid for parking, so no problem".

Dont know why I continually put my trust in human nature.
