Debenhams card - can I pay it off with another CC

HI

Sorry I'm new to this if its a daft question.
My wife has taken out a debenhams card (because it offered big discounts on some things we wanted). When the bill comes through can we pay it off with another credit card and effectively extend how long we get credit for? I have another card (tesco) and available credit on it. I also have the money to pay for all the purchases (so don't worry I'm doing something silly) but was just wondering if I could get the tesco points and extend the credit - anyone know?

You normally can't pay one card with another (except debit cards).

You can do a balance transfer but that would probably attrct a high rate of interest unless you have a promotional deal (like 0%) on your card.
  • You can only use debit cards to pay off the Debenhams card bill, not credit cards. You could do a balance transfer to your Tesco card but you would not earn any clubcard points and you would have to pay interest plus a fee.
