Halifax CC PPI Claim?

Options
I opened a Halifax CC when I started my first Full Time well paid job, this was around 12/13 years ago, I rather naively I guess didnt realise the PPI was optional and it has always been on the card, plus when I had my first daughter I stopped working so it wouldnt have paid out anyway.

Checking back over statements I can see that there are times when I was paying over £100 p/m ( a rather large balance! ) do you think it would be worth trying to claim this all back? Can you claim for the whole time I have had the card?

Any advice gratefully received.

    Hi Shelley

They may try to argue that you would have still be eligible for the ppi when you taken the account out, but as you assumed it was all part of the account, you can try to make a reclaim, and give them as much info as possible, and the fact that it was worthless to you as well, because when you first had your daughter they would not have paid out anyway.

Just complete the reclaiming questionnaire below, stage one.

Send to the head office or complaints dept if they have one - to whoever set up your account.

The timescales is that of 8 weeks, they may ask for extra time, but should also keep you informed.

Remember to keep copies of everything as well in case you need to go back to this at some point.

I would also like to state, they may say as it was some-time ago, they may not be able to deal with it, but if its only now you became aware of the mis selling on these products let them know what as well.
Give it a go, you have nothing to lose, good luck.;)
