pricey critial life insurance

Options
just remorgaged the house and changed our insurances with a independent f a.
decided to go with norwich union for critical life and was quoted 16.49 per month.

because my husband was in the army and unfortunetly is on the reserve list norwich union have increased our monthly payments to 49.90

this seems unfair to say my husband is very likely to be deployed with the army and has left it three years ago.

what does anyone else think I have contacted the fi a and he says to have a think about it

Whilst you may consider it unfair, he is an increased risk and if NU are willing to accept the risk at an increased cost, then that is their choice. Others may well refuse to cover outright.

  • Hi,

It's worth giving Friends Provident a call with your husbands details, they are one of the most flexible insurers when it comes to forces personnel. I'm surprised your IFA hasn't approached a number of companies for you in order to get the cheapest offer !
