Hyundai i10 cd help please

Morning, just a quick (probably silly) question if I may. Recently bought an i10 which i'm pleased with, except for one thing. If we have been listening to a cd, the following time we get back into the car, the cd is still apparently playing ie the number counter is moving forward but there is no sound, the only way of getting it to work is to eject it and start again. Now, this probably sounds like a really trivial thing (which it is) EXCEPT my son has autism and to him its a massive deal. Has anyone got this car and can tell me if there is something I can do. I emailed Hyundai but as yet nobody has got back to me..... Many thanks.
I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!

I've got an i10 but don't have this problem! did you buy it from a dealer? it might be worth letting them have a look at it! It would drive me nuts if I kept having to eject the disk to get it to work.
  • I have just been out to try mine, and the CD just starts to play from where it left off, so it seems there may be a problem with yours!

Trivial? really? Do you have to eject a CD and put it back in with all your CD players? I'd take it back to where you bought it from and ask them to sort it out. It's clearly a faulty unit which im sure any garage worth their salt would swap for you

    Mine too :)
Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end

The unit is clearly faulty and should be covered by the warranty. Return to the dealer and ask them fix or replace the stereo unit.

On the ASD thing; oh yeah, I sooooo know what you mean. :D
The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark
  • Hello again, thanks for the replies, well, following on from those I rang the dealer who asked me to take the car in to show them as they didn't understand the problem. Anyway, after comparing mine with another on their forecourt they have ordered me a new unit - result, thanks you all so much!
