Sounds funny but that is big business, historically its proven and in this last year one of the largest mining company moves was into potash fertiliser. Very valid investment, all these riots now are in some way related to poor people and expensive food.
The majority of the world now lives in a city, this has not previously been true despite our own national perspective0 -

I have a huge exposure to HK$, and small to US$. Effectively have some Euros and Swiss Francs also. Not looking for more exposure on foreign currency.
STT- good reasoning, makes sense. All the same, i won't be investing in it myself then, except for some high divi individual stocks.
I have German, Indian (AIM but all income from India) and HK foreign shares but not many, i may very well pick up an Australian fund (never done funds before) and some kind of exposure to some BRICS fund, but bit hesitant as im sure it's all overbought recently.
As for Potash, i am seriously looking at SXX.0
